First it the Asus model 901. Second, I'm using Window Eyes 7.0. Yes, I
can make the speakers loud enough. The problem is the kind of dialog I
get isn't a standard dialog box. I don't know what it is, but as I said
just can't seem to access it at all.

I just downloaded and installed it.

As many of you may know already, in the ripper component, the track names
are neither read nor displayed in braille, as one scrolls the track list,
much less the check boxes for selecting individual tracks.

Is there a fix for this; or are we still better off downgrading to earlier
versions?

Thanks.

Motu UltraLite MK3

2008-12-03 Thread Quinten Pendle
Hi all

After a recommendation from a friend, I bought this sound card.

The one problem that I have, is that the application in which you change the
volume of channels, adjust recording levels, panning, etc. etc. etc. does
not seem very accessible.

Do any of you happen to have this particular model, and if so, are there any
tips you can offer to find your way around this machine and to put it to
better use?

Thanks for any help, it will be received gratefully.

All the best

Re: Easy CDDA Extractor 12

2008-12-03 Thread Dana S. Leslie
I can make some educated guesses. When I have time, I will do some
experimenting, and see if it's even possible. I was rather hoping, though,
that somebody else here would already know the answers.

In the meantime, as long as you want to rip an entire disc, and not select
only specific tracks, it is still quite easy to use version 12; though you
will need sighted help if you want to change the default destination for
your ripped tracks. The default destination is C:\My Documents\My Music. Of
course, you can always rip your tracks to there, then cut and paste them to
where you really want them.

I haven't yet investigated the converter component of 12. If it's like 11,
there shouldn't be any problem if you trigger the converter from the
Explorer context menu, and use the JAWS cursor to find and trigger the start
button, once you have configured the rest of the conversion dialogue as you
wish.

As many of you may know already, in the ripper component, the track

are neither read nor displayed in braille, as one scrolls the track

much less the check boxes for selecting individual tracks.

Is there a fix for this; or are we still better off downgrading to

2008-12-03 Thread Mac Norins
Robert,

I was just kidding! I remember someone was talking about where they could get
earlier versions. I recently did a search for the product and came back with a
lot of information, which was , frankly, over my head, as is a lot of the
advanced information, that is spoken about, on this list. I don't want anyone
to go out of their way, which I am sure they won't, but, is there a place, such
as Old Version, where one could get earlier versions? Also, has anyone ever
written any tutorial information on this thing? I just wanted to create data
discs, so that I could free up some space, on 2 external hard drives, that I
have mounted, in my tower. Got a lot of audio material and I am running out of
available space!

Thanks,

Yeah, I know what you mean. Well, you can try it but you'll get a lot of
version conflict messages and missing / incompatible dll errors.

Well, that wasn't the answer I was hoping for, but thanks for saving me the
bother of a frustrating try.

That's what I was looking for; somebody who'd already been there and done
that; regardless of the outcome.

Hi,

Short answer is no. Have tried that ages ago.

Is it possible to take the codecs from version 12 and install them into the
engine of version 9 or 10? How exactly would one do this; which files would
one need to copy from 12 into 9.

Re: Easy CDDA Extractor 12

2008-12-03 Thread Dana S. Leslie
In my opinion, version 9.1 is the last most fully accessible version.
Earlier on Wednesday, I posted to this list a link to download that version
from my web site. Let me know if you can't find that link in your back
emails, and I'll post it again if necessary.

Right now, I should go to sleep!

Robert,

I was just kidding! I remember someone was talking about where they could
get earlier versions. I recently did a search for the product and came
back with a lot of information, which was , frankly, over my head, as is a
lot of the advanced information, that is spoken about, on this list. I
don't want anyone to go out of their way, which I am sure they won't, but,
is there a place, such as Old Version, where one could get earlier
versions? Also, has anyone ever written any tutorial information on this
thing? I just wanted to create data discs, so that I could free up some
space, on 2 external hard drives, that I have mounted, in my tower. Got a
lot of audio material and I am running out of available space!

Thanks,

-Mac-

As many of you may know already, in the ripper component, the track
