I can make some educated guesses. When I have time, I will do some experimenting, and see if it's even possible. I was rather hoping, though, that somebody else here would already know the answers.

In the meantime, as long as you want to rip an entire disc, and not select only specific tracks, it is still quite easy to use version 12; though you will need sighted help if you want to change the default destination for your ripped tracks. The default destination is C:\My Documents\My Music. Of course, you can always rip your tracks to there, then cut and paste them to where you really want them.

I haven't yet investigated the converter component of 12. If it's like 11, there shouldn't be any problem if you trigger the converter from the Explorer context menu, and use the JAWS cursor to find and trigger the start button, once you have configured the rest of the conversion dialogue as you wish.

That's a really good idea. Please let me know if you figure out exactly how it's done. I have no idea which files specifically need copied.

Is it possible to take the codecs from version 12 and install them into the engine of version 9 or 10? How exactly would one do this; which files would one need to copy from 12 into 9.

it would be your best bet to go to an earlier version. If you happen to still have a copy of v9 could you send it to me. ----- Original Message ----- From: Dana S. Leslie

I just downloaded and installed it.

As many of you may know already, in the ripper component, the track names are neither read nor displayed in braille, as one scrolls the track list,
much less the check boxes for selecting individual tracks.

Is there a fix for this; or are we still better off downgrading to earlier
versions?

Thanks.
