2013-07-25 Thread Daniela Rubio
Sure. You can open them with that App and jump to the time where you want to
start selecting. You can place in and out markers with the letters i and o. The
space in the middle of that letters is the selected fragment.
Yo I can hit CMD+E and when you export, you just take the selected fragment.
Hope it helps, I am here if you need more aclarations.

Hello Shane. You need to load and activate a map database for your area. You
can find them at the Loadstone point share at
http://pse.loadstone-gps.com/login.php. You need to create an account.
You also need to use Dropbox or ITunes to load your database. I haven't done
this yet.

Re: help with creating youtube movie

2013-07-25 Thread Daniela Rubio
This is not a multi track editor. You can create music files with different
values of volume, but for adding them, you need to use iMovie. How ever, it is
not difficult to get the correct volume, if you use the inspector over the
clips in which you want to lower it, check the chaco box to reduce the volume
of other tracks and set a value for it.
I don't know if I am being clear, but as I says before, if you want, I can show
it to you.

I Accidentally Turned Notification Center Do Not Disturb On; How Do i Put it back to Normal in oS X?

2013-07-25 Thread Teresa Cochran
Hi, guys,

I've tried all the tips, and I even turned off VO and used the mouse keys. I
held down the option key and clicked on Notification Center. It still says "do
not Disturb on".

By the way, the way to turn it on his to click where it says "show alerts and
banners". however don't do that till we figure a way to turn *off "do Not
Disturb!" You're supposed to be able to invoke Do Not disturb by
option-clicking on the Notification center in the menu bar, but now I'm not at
all sure it works as a toggle.

thanks,
teresa

Re: saving a message in mail

2013-07-25 Thread Alex Hall
Just go to the mailbox menu and select New Mailbox, then type in the name and
hit enter. Go to the message, right click/control click/vo-shift-m, choose
"copy to" or "move to", and press enter on the mailbox you just made. Note
that, if you are using an IMAP account, this folder and the message(s) in it
will propagate across your other devices that also use the mail account.

Re: I Accidentally Turned Notification Center Do Not Disturb On; How Do i Put it back to Normal in oS X?

2013-07-25 Thread Tim Kilburn
Hi,

Two things here. First, it will automatically turn itself back on tomorrow.
Second, as mentioned, you can toggle it on and off by checking/unchecking the
"Show Alerts and Banners" checkbox at the top of the Notifications Table within
the Notification Centre. Turning the "Do Not Disturb" off, is a little
trickier than turning it on. You'll need to Interact with the "Show Alerts and
Banners" item, navigate right so that VO says something about the state of the
checkbox, then press VO-space on that item so that it will now be checked
again. This will turn off the "Do Not Disturb" so that notifications will
begin popping up once again.

Later...

Re: I Accidentally Turned Notification Center Do Not Disturb On; How Do i Put it back to Normal in oS X?

2013-07-25 Thread Tim Kilburn
Hmmm. Do you press VO-space on the Notification Centre menu to open it? I
tested it on my system, turned DND on, closed the NC, played around in another
app then went back into NC while DND was enabled with no problems. Once I was
back in NC, I was able to turn off the DND as I suggested.

Not sure why yours is behaving differently.

Great, thanks. I know the general procedure, since I use the apex as a display

Re: I Accidentally Turned Notification Center Do Not Disturb On; How Do i Put it back to Normal in oS X?

2013-07-25 Thread Scott Berry

Hi Teresa,

I just had this problem last night. here are the steps:

1. go to Settings.

2. Go to Do Not Disturb.

3. Inside Do Not Disturb there should be a choice where you can turn
off manual. It'll say "Manual On" and if you tap it again it will say
"Manual Off."

4. Depending on the IOS version you may have more options if so email
back and I'll guide you further.

Re: vm fusion

2013-07-25 Thread Phil Halton
you can search for "bootcamp" in the VMWare's support pages and you'll
find lots of stuff there. They're really very good support pages with
a good knowledge base. You're just going to have to dig in and learn
all you can - read the help files thoroughly, and search around in the
VMWare support pages.

For example, you can either import a bootcamp into VMWare as a virtual
machine, or simply run the bootcamp from VMWare fusion. I don't have
the exact details, but search around on VMWare site and in the help
files and you'll find the answers.

Re: help with creating youtube movie

2013-07-25 Thread Daniela Rubio
Yes, it is fully accessible, except for seeing the audio wave, but we can still
work with the sound. There are certain tricks to do things, but we can achieve
very nice videos.
Selecting, cuting and pasting is also accessible, but for selecting big chunks
of video, I complement it with MPG stream clip.
You will find it fun, try it, I love it!

Main Stage question.

2013-07-25 Thread Danny Noonan
I own MainStage. I guess it's Main Stage II as I got it earlier this year
through the app store. I hadn't reinstalled it since my OS reinstall so decided
to download it from the app store app from purchases. I get an error saying
that the app is currently not available in the Australian app store. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Well, with respect to Mp2 Stream, I tried to move through a video and my fan

Perhaps Imovie will be better?

Aligning audio and video help

2013-07-25 Thread Ioana Gandrabur
Hi everyone,

Do any of you have experience with aligning an audio track with the identical
one recorded in a video?
I suppose it can be done in garageband but I find it very sluggish because of
the large movie size.

Any other alternatives to accomplish this would be very welcome.

Thanks,

Ioana

Apple one-on-one training

2013-07-25 Thread Phil Halton
I'm about to buy a macBookAir and am weighing if the one-on-one 1year training
is worth the $99. I'm not new to Mac/VO, but thought it might be worthwhile to
have access to a trainer over the course of the next year. Anyone ever used
this service? Thoughts?
I have a very well staffed apple store nearby so taking advantage of the
training wouldn't be any trouble, I'm just wondering if I'd be tossing away my
money.
thanks

Re: Apple one-on-one training

2013-07-25 Thread erik burggraaf
Your mileage may vary.

Here in Toronto knowledge of accessibility is very poor in the apple store and
I've made good money off of apple users disgruntled with their one on one
experience.

Then again, I've read posts on the list from people Who've had great
relationships with their apple store. I think it doesn't hurt to talk to the
people who do the training and see what happens. I'm a lot more expensive than
the apple store but I get excellent results guaranteed. Comparatively
speaking, if they seem to speak your language, 100 bucks to try one to one
isn't really that much. If you get a bad vibe from the geniuses, then you
might want to invest in some one like myself.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. Between Google, this and other lists, and the
knowledge you already have, I don't think you would benefit from training, at
least not a hundred dollars' worth. If it were me, I'd rather spend that money
on extending Apple Care so I'd always be covered in terms of hardware problems.
