I think before everybody confuses everybody else further, we 
should get an old copy of win32.hlp (or the MSDN equivalent) and 
read the section on "Consoles and Character-Mode Support".

As a lurker, I find this thread pretty funny. :-) Yeah, it sucks 
that most FLOSS projects are very resource-scarce. Obviously there 
are 1001 desirable or wanted things, but there is little available 
resources to do them. The wiki has already been suggested, I 
believe. We should put our limited energies to better use.
