I just checked it after you question, it compiles and links and the
core-routines are ok, but the shared library (i.e. our python-module)
doesn't run, it complains as follows:
ImportError: ld.so.1: python: fatal: relocation error:
R_SPARC_WDISP22:
and
symbol _cerror: value 0x463b9c does not fit
(maybe you habe a clue about this).

But I'm sure, this is because my Solaris system is inconsistent. It
was rather outdated, and I had to recompile a more recent gcc and
python. (But there are still somewhere the systemwide gcc and python).
