Yeah, I think that sympow uses extended precision for doubles. I never ran properly on Cygwin on x86 cpus, so I am somewhat worried on getting this to run properly on Sparc without some freaky gcc flags or some sparc assembly. I don't think it is high on Willam's priority list because it seems to be rather specialized, > I should have more time to look at it in 4 hours.
