@vrozov But you already know that the only way to move forward with making both sides to be happy is to reconstruct jars with LICENSE or even dynamically construct them, and I don't see your effort of looking into this way. I second @HyukjinKwon 's concern about disabling tests - I don't think just removing jars and disabling relevant tests are something we want to move forward. I'm -1 for that and I can only be persuaded if you give an objective evidence that ASF "disallows" having jars in the "codebase" (not a "distribution"). See approvals here - we have two major concerns about 1) having jars in distribution and 2) tests should still run, and people loves to have this, to unblock the release. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
