I've heard complaints before too, but I've had a 100GB WD drive connected to my HT366 controller for a few months now with zero problems. And I get my ATA66 speed.
I previously had IBM hard drives in that computer, and I couldn't use them on the HT366 controller. I got DMA timeout errors after a time, maybe a day, maybe a week, under heavy load. Even when slowed to ATA33.
