Ugh, let's stop using jargon to describe something we don't understand.
Performing half wave rectification of a sine wave doesn't make a new type of load called 1/2 wave load...
Half wave rectification has been used by some electronics for years, but is uncommon and inefficient. How an inverter manufacturer can single out this practice and claim it is causing problems is crazy.
Any rectified waveform will have filtering in the form of inductors and or capacitors to smooth out the waveform ripple that any rectification creates.
Loads are not categorized by the type of rectification they employ, but by their resistive, inductive or capacitive behavior.
