Let me add another twist: none of my other six bikes (which I can "no-hands") descend as confidently, therefore faster, than the Rivendell Longlow. Yes, the Longlow's tires are slightly wider but I suspect it has more to do with the low bottom bracket shell and perhaps the longer chain stays.
