Thanks for all of this. It sounds like the Wahoo also needs maps downloaded 
ahead of time, or via a synced smartphone.  Is that accurate?  I think i'll 
probably do the gaia free trial and see if i like it. My phone is 
constantly telling me i have no storage left, so im a little worried about 
downloads. As far as paper maps go, i understand their necessity, but im 
really looking for something that can tell me if a 5 mile ride down a steep 
hill is gonna end in a dead end that ill have to hike the bike out of, or 
if its gonna lead me to something cool/another trail/etc.
