You won’t be starting fresh every time. I live in Southern California and 
refresh sealant every 4-6 months, but even that isn’t starting over, you just 
put a little more sealant in. 

To get started, at a minimum you’ll need tubeless valve stems and sealant. You 
may also need tape for your rims since most tubeless ready rims don’t come with 
tape. You’ll need to measure the inner width of the rims and get appropriately 
wide tubeless tape. Lots of brands to choose from (cycling specific and non). 
When you tape the rims making sure to pull the tape tight.
