Thanks for the heads up on the BS-77's. I think the versatility of a 
shifter that allows me to try both is what I'm after, and did not know the 
BS-77's had that option. I also came across the Microshift Bsa10, which 
seems to check the same boxes, but have no experience with that 
manufacturer.
