There's an easy solution to what annoys you, and that is to look elsewhere
beside Rivendell for your bikes.

I personally have little interest in many Rivendell models -- the only bikes
that interest me are the road ones (Rodeo), the fixed gears and, perhaps,
the Hunquawhatever for off road, but I don't see why Grant has to check with
me before he puts another model on the market. Grant has brought a little
company financed on credit card and cashed out 401K to modest success
despite going head-on against industry trends, and all this without my
interference, and I say again, keep it up, Grant! Somone is buying his
bikes.
