Good observation Ken :)

With a few days of warmer weather coming our way before the next arctic blast
later next week, I'm headed out tomorrow for a metric. Or, if it makes people
happier, a "populaire.":) WIth 15 - 20 mph headwinds forecast, I'm taking the
triple equipped Riv Road. It's my longest top tube bike as well, and I can get
very flat backed when down on the drops (though unless I have to, I am more
upright on the bars) when the wind is just too tough. Coarse pavement and
chuckholes in many places along the way, so Synergy rims and fat-ish maxy
fastys for shoe leather. WIll also be the trial run for a OYB 6 way bag, which
will be carrying a camera, so there should be pictures.

If I live to tell the tale.

If all else fails, my much stronger riding buddy (on his Bilenky custom)
resembles a UPS truck and I can fall in behind him for a while to catch my
breath. I know that is taboo on on time trial, but what about RUSA rules?

You know it seems like these kinds of discussions only happen during the winter.
