another thing to consider is rim width. wider rims allow for lower
pressures. HED has some new wheelsets that have wider rims and you run
23c tires at 85-90lbs. i have velocity aeroheads and they are relative
narrow. the old apples to oranges problem. i did experiment with a
wider set of velocity rims with grand bois 700x30 tires and did like
them. they felt like mud compared to my 28c setup. everybody is
different. bottom line for me, talking to grant p. enlightened me to a
new outlook on cycling and in a very positive way.
