?? http://www.ultracycling.com/equipment/frames.html this article was about choice of frame, frame material/geometry and comfort. the impression that I got was that those still riding on conventional bicycles preferred ti and carbon over steel for *comfort,* light weight/performance considerations aside. i switch back and forth between ti and steel pretty often and find them both comfortable - but it's difficult to compare them because they're set up so differently. i've done 300k's on each, and I was equally worn at the end of both rides (just finished about an hour earlier on the Ti bike - not really significant in my mind). if i had to choose, i'd ride steel b/c it probably does have a slight edge when it comes to comfort. but, the article got me thinking about whether my steel bikes are just more comfortable because they're simply set-up to be more comfortable? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
