yes, there are some good tips there - but, this site highlights the
different approaches one can take to long distance cycling.  the
advice there is certainly geared more towards the fast, competitive
cyclist.

very interesting what competitive, long distance cyclists consider
"comfortable" bicycles.  ti and carbon are preferred over steel - not
just performance, but for comfort.
