Heck, back when I commuted to an office, my commute was 30 rt (tho' I'd
often cheat and knock off 7 or 8 by bus), and I commuted (still do for
errands) on 21 mm 669 Turbos or fatter 23 mm Conti GPs. Flat resistant --
truly,I got more flats with 1.25 Paselas; this is goathead country; very
very light, roll well and they are, believe it or not, comfortable, even
over minor pavement cracks -- certainly as comfortable as 1.25 Paselas, but
a good part of that is doubtless the Caddy ride of the Rivendells. I'd love
a supple 559 or 571 26, but until those appear, the best small diameter
tires are the skinnies. 170 plus bike plus load.

And 3500 miles on the rear of the last Conti.
