I don't own a rivendell bike. I'm currently debating what bike to purchase and an atlantis is on the list that's why I've been lurking here. The story of the break and the response by rivendell encourages me to buy one. Maybe I'm a more realistic consumer than others but I realize that things break. That it is impossible to control and predict every situation that could result in a broken part. With that in mind, it is good to know that the manufacturer or the vendor responds quickly and in a friendly manner when there is a problem. In my opinion, seeing no stories of failures and no responses from the manufacturer is a situation which prompts me to be more cautious, not less. Mike, thanks for posting the information about your break. Grant, thanks for confirming my expectations about Rivendell's customer service.
