In any case, note that you can revert to no Extras menu by deleting
lines in /etc/X11/desktop-menus/applications.menu. (Delete all lines
with <Keyword>X-Red-Hat-Base</Keyword> then the entire <Folder> block
for Extras, should work.)
Another way that is mucheasier to revert is cpoy
/ext/gnome-vfs-2.0/vfolders to ~/.gnome2 and
kill gnome-panel. When the panel respawns, the menus
appear to be the default GNOME versions.

It has a few problems, like SystemTools has 2 entries named
"CD Writer": one has an icon, bubble help that reads
"Versatile CD mastering Software" and is gtoaster; the other
has no icon, the bubble help is "CD creation tool" , and is
xcdroast.

Now to find a simple tweak to get the icons to their defaults.
Being able to copy a gconf key from /etc and edit it would
be better than using gconf-editor.

Hopfully a gnomehide/rawhide package set for gnome-2.0.2
will solve the menu editing problems soon.
Same for icon-themes.
