I too.

I've just been through a Debian install, and there are altogether too many 
questions _during_ the install process.

I much prefer to answer the essential questions up fron, then (except for 
changing CDs) hear nothing from the computer until its ready to reboot.

A checklist installed into /root for post-install setting up I could deal 
with. It should include items for
X
KDE menus
G menus
Sendmail
NTP
CUPS
New user(s)
and so on for everything that's installed and needs to be configured.
