I can usually milk my laptops for about 4 years. I am on my 3rd year on my
HP unit, never a problem. But I think I am going to get a replacement in
the next 2 months or so, while I can still get one with XP Pro (drivers) and
Vista downgrade (triple boot, Ubuntu, XP and Vista, if I can. Otherwise
Linux and XP boot). I have been toying with getting a Mac Book Pro and
installing VMWare Fusion on it for the addition OS options. We will see.
It is nice to have options.
