You are right Bill, it shouldn't be an issue unless a competitor tells 
your customer you are using a "dead" language in order to undermine your 
position. Anyway it is not likely and if it happens it will be just ONE 
customer. OTOH I'm into Python, not because VFP is dead (at my working 
place I am only authorized to program VFP) but BECAUSE I LOVE the bloody 
language. After tasting Python I just couldn't be thrilled at doing 
something with VFP. And I think that if you tried it, the same might 
happen to you.
As for the business side of the issue... if your apps are relatively 
well coded you shouldn't have too much of a hassle porting them. Or you 
could keep the old apps and do every new development in Python. But hey, 
I just love the language so my view is obviously biased.
