I guess my industry is a little different (hotels, which are a 24/7 business).

We charge 10% of the total cost of the software per year to our dealers [1].

Our software is sold by dealers in different countries.  Most of which
are part of our company.
We also have 3rd party dealerships.

Our team only provides 2nd line support. In general we don't get many
support issues out of hours.
We have almost 1000 installations, the runtime fees do not quite pay
for our dev staff, but it's close.

BTW, none of this is FoxPro.  I no longer develop in FP, but 95% of
these installations are xbase++ (a Clipper varient)
The other 5% are our C# new version.  I believe we still have a few DOS sites...

I still use VFP daily for some reason!

[1] What they charge to the end customer I have no idea.
