If you have a Samsung android, there are free maps and GPS software. Look in
the Kies program. It does work but has many things missing or difficult to use
but it's all free, works on the phone so no separate satnav needed. And its
updated free. And did I mention it's free? Lol Just a pity Samsung isn’t as
good about updates.

If you have a smart phone with built-in GPS, aren't the maps updated
automatically? Some of the phones have spoken turn by turn directions just like
the Garmin and Tom Tom units. I have a Tom Tom I use for cross country trips
and am constantly bombarded with e-mails to upgrade the maps. I have yet to do
any upgrades. We have a built in GPS in the car we take on most trips, so the
standalone GPS unit is used less.
