I also wonder what time frame lifetime is. Tech companies have a habit of stopping support for things, one of the worst offenders being Samsung (6 month old product). Tom-tom pulled support for some products too. In Spain roads change on a daily basis, well seems like it. So even updates are out of date. So really if you go places that the roads change and rely often on the maps being up to date then get the lifetime otherwise dont bother with any. It's not worth the money for once a year. As an aside to how bad Garmin are at support, I emailed from their website a question. I had European maps and wanted the lifetime USA/European. I asked them and they didnt even bother to reply. All this IMHO Al
-----Original Message----- I have a Garmin GPS Nuvi 265W with the north america NT 2011.10 map. The current available is nt 2013. The one-time update is 49.95, the lifetime update is 89.95. Is it really worth updating a map? Does it make much of a difference? Seems like a lot to pay since the unit only cost me about $100.00. _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/001501cd5ff8$2f7d2070$8e776150$@com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
