However, if the OP sees intermittent DNS issues with many/most other domains, then perhaps look into why that may be happening. On any given day ~1% of Internet domains (DNS, SMTP, ...) are degraded or down, some are parked or abandoned, others mismanaged. Nothing to see here... -- Viktor.
