Thx Bill and Viktor!
as I discussed this topic in parallel in the mailman mailinglist, we
came there today also to the conclusion, that fetchmail is the root
cause, due to missing envelope information/maildrop capabilities.
Based on the Fetchmail docs 'envelope 1 Received' is only half of
the
solution. I have to set an alias for the postfix mailserver in
addition
cause fetchmail.log shows 'fetchmail: line rejected,
mx.kundenserver.de
is not an alias of the mailserver'
How do I set the alias for the mailserver?
This is a fetchmail question. There may be some fetchmail experts
here, but the duplication happens upstream of Postfix, so this is
not really the right list for this. If anyone here knows the
answer, that's fine to post of course, but you may be better off
asking on a list for fetchmail if there is one.
I already posted to the fetchmail-users list 10 minutes ago :-)
I thought "alias for mailserver" is a postfix configuration issue. Thx
for clarification.
This also seems to be well-covered in the man page and FAQ for
fetchmail...
It looks to me like adding 'aka mx.kundenserver.de no dns' to the
fetchmailrc entry might be what you're looking for.
CAVEAT: I've never really looked at fetchmail before today, as its basic
concept seems to me to be intrinsically and fatally flawed: a bad and
wrong idea for mail software.
