I will be quite soon ...  like I said I'll be replacing those servers.  That 
includes implementing filter/milters etc.  I'm reading up on those in parallel

I'm familiar enough with Postfix to run in for a home server -- as a single 
instance.  What I'm NOT familiar with is the 'complex' situation of remote 
recipient probing across servers.

Simple, well-separated and generally clean -- knowing what each piece does -- 
IS my attempt at doing that.  I find the all-in-one approach to be confusing.

But, I'll give your comment some thought.

In any case the questions for how to get Recipient Verification are pretty much 
the same -- regardless of if the probes are launched from a sinlge monolithic 
instance or one small/contained piece of many.
