This is, I admit, slightly pedantic, but here it comes anyway...

SPF has nothing to do with it.  SPF and mailing lists as traditionally used are 
fine.  The issue is 100% how DMARC uses SPF results.  There are some actual SPF 
interoperability issues, but this isn't one of them.
