Hi David, I use fluxbox on Ubuntu, you can try getting it and switch to your preferred window manager before you log on.
I like how easy it is changing in upgrading from edgy to feisty. Most people like it because it comes as a free cd. The bad thing about Ubuntu is compiz(fancy 3d desktops). I use feisty and for some reason there are times that when i use gnome, and ctrl+alt+tab between desktops, the screen / windows would turn black. I don't really have the time to troubleshoot so i switched back to fluxbox :) My 2 cents.. if anyone has gotten around this please share :) On 9/5/07, David R.
