My old IBM laptop went that way, ended up trashing it, light coming on and
then nothing, dead laptop. Thing is when stuff like that happens its
probably a motherboard failure, and the way latops are built, the
motherboard IS the laptop, they are so specific and interwoven with stuff
that it probably would be cheaper to buy a new laptop. take the hard drive
out because the data can still be recovered.
