Hi. A friend of mine has an old laptop which suddenly died. The battery does not work anymore and even when plugged in a wall socket nothing happens. Actually, if I plug the laptop in a wall socket and push the power bottom, the power light comes on for a second, then it turns off and it's the end of it. Do you know anyone who could have a look at it and if the battery and the recharger are both gone, can help my friend to retrieve the data from the hard disk?
He wanted to go to PC World, but I think that they would charge him a fortune and they would simply tell him to buy a new laptop. Any suggestion is very welcome! Thanks. Michele
