So are you saying if you simply open these documents the content isn't visible ? there's no need to import or convert AFAICS, you should just open the current Word document with OpenOffice.org Writer and voila. For a router off ebay put "siemens adsl" in the search box and you'll see plenty of Gigaset SE587 routers as used by Tiscali - though I would just ask them for one first. They're black, roughly square and have a green square logo on them. If you use one of these it should be easier to get support from Tiscali if the line goes down. Item number: 110345144341 is an example, I'm not selling them on Ebay, I buy them to rescue people from USB modems. SMTP and POP servers are set up in your mail client software (Thunderbird, Evolution, etc) and the settings are on the Tiscali help pages.
