Thanks everyone for the suggestions--looks like godaddy might be a good one
to look at. Big Cheers, Christine

Subject: Re: Web Hosting
My business domains and website, godfreydigiorgi.com and gdgphoto.com, is
hosted by GoDaddy.com. I leased both domains and paid in advance for the
service (email, ftp and web server, lots of storage space, etc etc) in
2006 for a five year term. Altogether it cost me $268, which means the
total package is $4.50 per month. I don't use their web creation or
commerce tools (yet), I do those things myself. It's been just about 100%
reliable and easy to deal with since I put it in place, with very little
in way of any problems or downtime.
The only limitation that I run into very occasionally when doing
announcement broadcasts is that the service package only allows 250
sendmail transactions per day. I could increase this at a small
additional cost, but I only need more outbound message capabilities once
in a while and can workaround the issue by staggering announcement
messages over two/three days.
