For what it's worth, I got my son a KR-5 Super on eBay for $60, complete
with a 35-70 zoom, filter and a camera bag. He's happy and I'm happy because
the Beaver tends to me a tad rough with stuff, so if something happens to
it, I'm only out $60. When we're together, I loan him my pentax lenses.
Frankly, the Ricoh is a neat little camera for the price.
