Where does the cheap come from, I don't think so? Have you priced an LX or
any fast/wide or LTD primes lately?

There are many points to this argument, about your two friends that changed
to F-100, how many bodies can they comfortably carry at any one time?
How many lenses did they own for their old system before they switched?
I personally would like to be able to carry at least three bodies and five
lenses comfortably over my shoulder all day. I normally do this, but usually
no more than 5kg including bag, film, mini-tripod, cleaning cloths, lens pen,
equipment towel, torch, cable release, hoods, spare battery, spirit level and
very rarely a flash ....
I usually carry 2 LX & Super Program or 3 LX, if I buy 1 or 2 MZ-S my kit
weight will stay about the same however if I changed to 2 F-100 + FM3 +
bulky Nikon glass I would be over the 8kg mark for a similar kit at a guess
and that is getting beyond comfortable for me. So there is another positive for
the MZ-S from my perspective :-)
