Dear Paal,
The MZ-S is using a brand new shutter made by SEIKO. I was not talking about
the maximum speed but the maximum speed with Synchro-X. This is totally
different (EOS1n and EOS 3 has 2 different shutter but the same maximum
speed (1/8000 but Synchro X 1/250 for EOS1 and 1/200 for EOS 3)
For the spot metering frame indicator, you may find it useless in the
viewer, not me (and I know some friend who also prefer to have it inside,
but it seems that you do not consider me as a photographer, that may be a
little true, but remember that there is not only photographer who buys
camera) It was not really difficult to put it inside, no ? When you forgot
it, you forgot it, but when you remember it, it is easier to keep the eye in
the viewer than to check outside, isn t it ?

> Of course they can. Thats the most important market for every
manufacturer. There are 10 000 000 K mount Pentax lenses out there that fit
the MZ-S. Owners of these lenses are the main target for the MZ-S.
Really ? Do all these people buy the MZ-S ??? I do not think so as far as
they usually consider Pentax as a cheap way to make good picture, but the
MZ-S is not cheap, isn t it ?

> You assume that the Z-1p and the F100 are ideal cameras for everybody.
They aren't. The Z-1p never sold well which proves that most Pentax users
were less than impressed with it. You again assume that a camera F100 like
would be perfect for everybody.
I do not like the Z-1p and you can read that I prefer a Z-1n because it
might be nearer of my expectations. The Nikon F-100 is a very good SLR and
you know that it is very well sold. The flagship of a brand has the mission
to make dream owner of the same trade. The MZ-S do not really reach this aim
for me. So why do former Pentax owner change and buy a Nikon F-100 ? (I have
2 friends who did it )

Yours
