Hello,
I would be interested by that too: I'm currently working on the same
TD-W8970,
using a annex-a ADSL2+ firmware.
However, I lack VDSL2 annex-a firmware , as this standard has been
recently allowed in France.
I could confirm that , when using my current firmware on a VDSL2 POTS ,
the synchronisation is established on ADSL2+, not VDSL2.
Besides, I still have some problems linked to the Wifi chipset that hang
after a while, and with a *very* long boot that seems
to be related to the internal switch, which is reseted multiple time
during bootup (GPIO-related ? I do not see any driver for this switch).
Thanks for sharing your findings,
Julien

I have no idea. This was just a guess on the part that all the
other parameters are in this "bitfield" notion, so I assumed that
this one works the same. Shouldn't the cpe-control sources tell you
what they are good for?
yes but that takes too long :)
i just got an off-list mail expalining things abut vdsl tone sets that
i never heard before and also a reason why it fails for me and what i
need to do to fix it.
i'll push an updated dsl_control once i finished reworking this
