Afaik the xtu bits are for both ADSL and VDSL - this is basically a
big bitfield enabling different modes (Annex A ADSL1, Annex B ADSL1,
etc).

Do you have a annex b or annex j line? this makes a diference for the
xtu bits to enable.

Have you tried -M 0_1_0 or -M 0_0_2?
