In other words, perhaps its not that the change isn't minimal that he's being "hostile" about (and TBH I can only really remember one time I thought Kevin was actually being hostile _at all_, which he and I actually discussed off list), but rather some unspoken other thing that just manifests that way.
I'm not really sure what to say in response to vaguely referenced, supposed mind-reading, Oswald.
My record on the list is there for all to see. I do get grumpy once in a while, as any maintainer will, but overall I have tried my best to be open, responsive, and friendly.
In the end, it's my call what goes in, and more importantly *my* responsibility once I do accept it. I do strongly prefer new contributors to start small, but I have worked with and accepted some large contributions. I've also put in the work to fix and merge plenty of patches, both external and dropped on the mailing list. Of course, I have also refused others. That's part of being a maintainer.
I was trying to keep an open mind to your "feedback" in this thread, but instead I would advise you to self-reflect about what you think you know versus what you really know.
I don't see a lot of evidence of what you're preaching from the isync commit log, and I highly doubt being the isync maintainer is comparable in any way. So chill, yourself, with the character attacks just because the project and culture aren't to your liking.
