You can get black Waxoyl now in an aerosol, I treated the insides of the
tubes (with a home-made extension) on the three wheeler this year with it.

With regard to Pride of Ownership we don't judge the underside (with this in
mind), and I would expect most cars to be treated with some sort of
inhibitor. Mine certainly is.

 

But Waxoyl??? - I used it since it first appeared in Exchange & Mart, up to
the early 90's. But after experimentation I found that other products were
more convenient to use and longer lasting. So I now go for either Dinitrol.
Or a Tectyl product (made by Valvoline). Some of the Tectyl aerosols go on
very easily (no silly hand pumps) and dry to a waxy residue which lasts &
lasts.
