Hi there, I have an iomega biz card. I am new to this card (which I bought second hand) but not new linux.
I am running kernel 2.6.8. I see that there are zr36067 and so on drivers in that kernel source so I am using them. Thats part of my first question.... My motherboard is about 2-3 years old a Soltek VIA based board KT133/KM133 according to lspci. I see that VIA present a proble, but I am not sure if thats the problem in my case. When I modprobe zr36067 card=7 debug=2 I get the following on the console: FATAL: Error inserting zr36067 (/lib/modules/2.6.8-gentoo-r3/kernel/drivers/media/video/zr36067.ko): No such device and this in dmesg: Linux video codec intermediate layer: v0.2 Zoran MJPEG board driver version 0.9.5 ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:02:09.0[A] -> GSI 10 (level, low) -> IRQ 10 MJPEG[0]: Zoran ZR36057 (rev 1) irq: 10, memory: 0xdb001000. Buz[0]: Initializing i2c bus... i2c-algo-bit.o: (0) scl=1, sda=1 i2c-algo-bit.o: (1) scl=0, sda=0 i2c-algo-bit.o: SCL unexpected low while pulling SDA low! Buz[0]: find_zr36057() - can't initialize i2c bus No known MJPEG cards found. And I end up with these modules being added: saa7185 5896 0 saa7111 6536 0 videocodec 8596 0 (videodev is already there as a result of my bttv card) Now if this is because of the VIA board I'll give up now, but it looks to me like I may need to make a device in /dev, but I am not sure. So 2 questions really: 1. Am I better to download the latest driver from your efforts, or is the kernel 2.6.8 up to date anyway? 2. What sort of error are those error messages a sign of?
