Instead of ranting about it in the knowledge that a corporate is not going to
listen to your rants, just do yourself a favour in the future and buy yourself
programmable SFPs from e.g. Flexoptics (other vendors are available).
Then it does not matter what device you have infront of you, you can reprogram
the SFP in about 3 seconds.
