I agree, but the only immediate alternative to Maduro is a pro-imperialist 
government to its right. On the other hand, there is a strong argument to be 
made that governments popularly identified with the left  should resign and 
campaign against - rather than impose - austerity as, for example, should have 
happened in Greece in 2015 after the August referendum, and is an option facing 
the governments in Venezuela and even Cuba today. Not an easy choice by any 
means  Where does the left opposition to the Maduro government stand on this 
question?
