Are we supposed to guess whether enough remains to hope for revival of
Bolivaran social democracy? (It was never a revolution.) No need to. The last
few years have proved that the Maduro regime has completely abandoned "whatever
remains" in favor of cozy cultivation of a Boli-bourgeois capitalist stratum.
The regime allows no one "to argue against pro-capitalist policies and for a
socialist alternative." A socialist-communist path forward is necessarily a
confrontation with it.
