Just a theory, but I am only slightly making a joke. MUAs don't give
developers & product managers much room for real innovation, because
there are a lot of things that MUAs should never be able to do. The
result is that once MUAs are basically complete they stagnate and start
sprouting weird little non-features like "pretty" rendering of the From
header. And HTML mail.
