We're also a registrar and as Owen points out - this is systemic because the registries have annual fee hikes baked into their contracts. 7% annually for Verisign (.com and .net) - it varies for others.

At easyDNS we ate these increases for over ten years, until the post-COVID era when inflation started hitting across the entire supply chain.

Now our lowest priced packages would wind up under-water on some of these increases, so like everybody else, we have to hike too.

Hopefully Jagmeet Singh won't start tweeting about "greedflation" on the part of registrar CEOs anytime soon.

The latter criteria removes at least OVH, and perhaps also Joker,
or are they still? What can you say about Namecheap and Porkbun?
