That's a tiny field. It's only about 43 characters wide on screen. I have no idea what the logical limit of the field is. Even if it is large, that interface is way too tiny to be usable. I have hundreds of email addresses.

Do you mean that when you compose a new message, you have to choose between *hundreds* of email addresses? I also have hundreds of addresses, but I initiate new messages (as opposed to replying) from very few. When I have to send a new message from an unusual address, it's easy to edit the field in the composition window.

As for working with the small field, the address pattern feature should negate the necessity of entering a large number of characters, and if you really must, you can paste from a text editor. I don't understand the difficulties that you report.
